Elephant Email Design System

As part of the communications strategy I developed for Elephant Insurance, I created a new email design system to be more consistent with our brand standards and other channels while increasing engagement.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Increase customer engagement in email.

  • Increase customer retention.

  • Increase customer payment success.

  • Decrease unnecessary customer calls to the call center.

To achieve these targets we created this design system to:

  • Tailor communications to each customer by utilizing dynamic content blocks.

  • Use a better visual hierarchy to increase legibility for important information such as payment amounts and due dates.

  • Use new visual indicators such as warning banners when accounts are past due / at risk of lapsing coverage.

Outcomes:

  • 50% increase in overall click-through rate for email.

  • 45% reduction in unsubscriptions for acquisition emails.

  • 10% reduction to our call center for newly onboarded customers.

Punch’s target is to provide a quick to use solution for employees and small business owners. Punch would export data to expedite the payroll process for the client. Another target for Punch is to use geographical data to prevent employees from clocking in incorrect and increase security.

A lo-fi prototype was developed and lacks custom transitions and animations. We are currently working to test the concept and assess the risk points.

Career Fair

Career Fair

The VCU School of Engineering hosts a biannual Career Fair to connect employeers with students.

While working at VCU School of Engineering I was responsible for creating the brand for the event, collateral, advertising, and principle event photography.

The advertising was ran in the Richmond Times-Dispatch in print and online. After each print advertisment was ran (and during each digital advertisement impression period) registration for the event spiked. This resulted in the largest participation of employers up until that point in time. Subsequent events had to be held in a larger venue due to the increased number of participants.
